Research on Diagnosis and Prediction Method of Stator Interturn Short-Circuit Fault of Traction Motor

The traction motor (TM) is an essential part of the high-speed train, health condition which determines quality and safety vehicle. Hence, this study proposed a novel approach to diagnosing predicting TM stator interturn short-circuit fault (SISCF). Based on Park vector (PV) current, method could overcome interference current sensor errors, null shift, frequency fluctuations in actual conditions. More specifically, Park’s transformation was used obtain PV current. Then, fitted elliptical trajectory its parameters from negative sequence component be calculated. Finally, SISCF diagnosis prediction were realized by magnitude trend as well inclination ellipse. Furthermore, performance validated simulation model series experiments. results consistent with experimental results, supporting validity correctness study.
